It's (Almost) Time to Chill

There's something magical and inspiring about the start of a new season. This is especially true for fall, when the air cools, leaves start to tumble, and people settle into new routines. The summer buzz slowly wears off and is replaced by an autumnal romance fit with mulled ciders, spiced baked goods, and cozy knits.

Even though the temperatures have yet to drop in many places, that hasn't stopped my urge to mix sweaters into my wardrobe rotation and to start reaching for fall recipes. It's also approaching the perfect time of year to enjoy a meal outdoors in the early evening. This patio has me dreaming up the perfect al fresco fall dinner party, where I'd wear this light but cozy sweater dress with these summer-to-fall transitional mules and this hat (a great dupe for some expensive trendy versions).

I've also been feeling inspired to switch out some of my home decor, though it turns out no matter the season I can't get enough scallops. This adorable scallop edged rug is on my wish list, along with this plate set that would be perfect for a Thanksgiving table, and these sweet woven storage baskets. This fluted pendant light is a steal at ~$60 and would be such an easy way to add some charm to a powder room. And in keeping with the green theme around here, I'm loving this embroidered throw pillow and this sage green embroidered quilt that would be as lovely as a picnic blanket as it would at the foot of a bed.

Hope you're busy soaking up the last of the warm weather or already cozying up for fall! xx
