Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: Top Picks

I have never been a huge fan of the endless round-ups of Nordstrom Anniversary Sale picks from seemingly ever blogger there ever was, but I'm finding I have a different outlook on it this year. I think the pandemic has caused me to have a newfound appreciation for comfortable lounge wear, trying out new beauty regimens, and focusing on filling my home with fewer items with more meaning.

And while there's nothing I need from this year's sale (or, let's face it, any sale), since many of us are stuck at home for the foreseeable future, there's nothing wrong with indulging in some comfortable clothes that will make your work from home experience a bit more enjoyable, splurging on a beauty item that will encourage you to focus on self care, or investing in a decor item that will bring you joy during the coming months that you're likely to spend in your home.

I can personally attest to the comfort and quality of these shoes and these pants (both have lasted me years and run true to size). The other clothing items look work from home cozy and perfect for the transition to cooler fall temperatures. I have a feeling this sweater is going to sell out quickly, so I'm hoping it's still available by the time I'm able to shop the sale.

I own more than a few Anthropologie candles, so can confirm this is a worthwhile purchase if you're in the market for new candles. These ribbed glasses are similar to the trendy Orrefors fluted glasses that have been popping up all over Instagram lately (but at a fraction of the price!) and I've got my eye on this pretty lumbar pillow in the perfect earthy ivory shades.

As far as the beauty picks, I've tried and loved almost every single one of the products in this round up. This is my absolute favorite shampoo and conditioner and I also love the CC cream that comes with this set. I even did my own little "Caviar vs. Oribe" shampoo test at the start of quarantine, and in my opinion, Caviar was the winner hands down.

I want to hate La Mer because of its price tag, but splurged on the face cream during the 25% off site wide sale Nordstrom had earlier this year, and I'm sorry to report (for the sake of wallets everywhere) that it largely lived up to the hype. I still can't bring myself to pay full price, but I might give in for the sale price - and to try out some of the other products that come in the set.

I've been using this skin treatment since the start of quarantine and, though it may be a bit drying for sensitive skin, my skin texture has never been more even. I use a pump every morning after washing and cleansing my face and let it dry for 10 minutes or so before putting any lotion or makeup on my face.

The good news is that this year you can preview the sale early and add items to your wish list so that when your access date comes, you can check out quickly and easily with the items you're after. The best deals do tend to sell out early, so I'd recommend setting a reminder if there's something you really want to snag. Good luck!
